LPG Systems & Integrated Solutions
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) systems require a high level of engineering precision, safety compliance, and operational reliability due to the pressurized and flammable nature of the product. Mechasol provides complete LPG system solutions covering storage, transportation, transfer, vaporization, distribution, and autogas applications.
All systems are engineered in accordance with ADR, ASME, PED/CE, EN standards, and applicable local regulations, ensuring safe operation throughout the entire LPG value chain.
Mechasol’s LPG solutions are designed as stand-alone units, skid-mounted packages, or fully integrated EPC systems, depending on project requirements.
LPG Transport Tankers
Bobtail LPG Transport Tanks
Mechasol manufactures LPG Bobtail tankers with capacities typically ranging from 10 m³ to 34 m³, with custom capacities available upon request. These tanks are designed for bulk LPG distribution in urban, industrial, and commercial environments.
Key Design Features
ADR Class 2 design for liquefied gas under pressure
Design pressures: 18 bar / 23 bar / 27 bar
Design temperature range: -20°C to +50°C
100% radiographic weld inspection
Hydrostatic pressure testing in accordance with ADR
Standard & Optional Equipment
Internal excess flow valves (pneumatic or hydraulic)
Safety relief valves (PRV)
LPG transfer pumps (hydraulic, shaft-driven, or electric)
LPG flow meters with ticket printers
Hose reels (manual, hydraulic, electric, pneumatic)
Anti-drive-away systems and remote emergency shutdown
Bobtail tankers are available in 2-axle, 3-axle, and 4-axle truck configurations, offering maximum flexibility for different payload and road regulations.
Semi-Trailer LPG Transport Tanks
Mechasol also manufactures 2-axle and 3-axle LPG semi-trailer tanks designed for long-distance and high-capacity LPG transportation.
Technical Highlights
Mechanical or air suspension systems
ADR-compliant braking and electrical systems
High-capacity landing gear
Multiple discharge and vapor return configurations
These tankers are optimized for terminal-to-terminal transport, refineries, import/export terminals, and large distribution networks.
Static LPG Storage Tanks
Aboveground & Underground LPG Storage Tanks
Mechasol designs and manufactures static LPG storage tanks for both aboveground and underground installations, with capacities ranging from 1 m³ up to 400 m³.
Design Standards
ASME Section VIII Division 1 (ASME U Stamp)
EN 13445, AD 2000, PD 5500
European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED/CE)
Tank Configurations
Horizontal aboveground tanks
Horizontal underground tanks
Vertical aboveground tanks (space-restricted areas)
Corrosion Protection & Cathodic Protection
Underground LPG tanks are exposed to electrochemical corrosion risks. Mechasol integrates advanced corrosion protection systems, including:
High-build epoxy-polyamide external coatings
Dielectric “thick-coat” systems (up to 15,000 V resistance)
Cathodic protection with sacrificial anodes, designed according to soil conditions and installation environment
These measures significantly extend tank service life and ensure long-term operational safety.
LPG Tank Accessories & Safety Systems
Mechasol supplies a full range of ASME-compliant LPG tank accessories, including:
External pop-action pressure relief valves
Multi-port PRV manifolds for large tanks (maintenance without tank evacuation)
Excess flow valves for liquid and vapor service
Vapor return / vapor equalization valves
Fixed liquid level gauges (maximum filling protection)
Magnetic level gauges and float gauges
Pressure and temperature indicators
Vent and drain valves
All accessories are selected to ensure overpressure protection, safe filling, controlled withdrawal, and regulatory compliance.
Autogas Skid Systems
Mechasol provides pre-engineered Autogas Skid Systems designed for fast installation and safe LPG vehicle fueling.
